Aisha Hinds is an American actress who is best famous for her role in the television shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her 2003 debut she has demonstrated her range in acting giving outstanding performances in television series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 and Under the Dome. Her first recognition came from her performance as Anna in 2005's film Assault on Precinct 13. The film was her portrayal of Fannie Lou (a women's activist for rights) within the biography All the Way film that earned her the attention of an actor. Her portrayal of Harriet Tubman on WGN America's historical drama Underground received a lot of praise. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the series for a third season.
